N400 related question
Hi, my wife and I have been happily married and together since 2000 in
IL
about 6 months ago the I-478 we had filed a year or so ago was approved.
Recently, i have been offered a job in Indiana and since it is such a
great opportunity, i want to accept it and move temporarily and get a
feel for it to see if it will work as a career. (if it does then my wife
looks for a job and moves soon thereafter)
Until that time, my wife doesnt want to quit her job since she just made
manager and wants that experience on her resume as well and we have
house payments, car payments etc. (plus we'll need to sell the house)
the option is for us to live in different locations for a bit. (of
course it really means that i will be working in indiana during the week
and travelling to IL on wk ends)
So my question is:
If i were to take this job, would it be advisable for us to file the N-
400 with our house address in IL as our permanent address or would it be
frowned upon?
OR
is it best to turn down the job and not hassle with the complications
that may arise
We are in no rush to file the N-400 and as a 3rd option can wait, but it
does have some processing time and we are also wanting to put a lid on
the process at our earliest. Sorry for the long winded question.
Thx for yout help
