N400 oath ceremony date and waiting
Here is my timeline:
N-400 mailed to Vermont Service Center: May 8 2003
Data of Receipt: May 21 2003
Fingerprint on Portland District office: July 10 2003
FBI fingerprint results sent to BCIS: July 11 2003
BCIS notice of interview received: August 9 2003
Interview: September 22 2003
On November 20, 2003, we visited local BCIS district office and got bellow answer: “ FBI name check was not yet done. Be patient and wait “
On November 26, 2003, we received letter and phone call from FBI DC headquarter informed us that Name Check was completed and sent back to BCIS on November 5 2003.
We are waiting the letter for oath ceremony date

Can u plz tell us in detail what did u ask them about ur name check and what did they tell u when u first called them.?
I called this number and it was 1:00 am. just wanted to try and some lady picked up and said FBI headquarters or something and i said oops wrong number and hung up.
i didnt think they will be open at 1: 00 am .anyways,,
jaja i will appreaciate ur reply telling the procedure u went through with FBI name check.

That was pretty quick! Where do you live/ what is your local BCIS office? that's what influences the most the processing times.

i have question for all...
i just called uscis customer srvice and they said sometimes ur local office sends u mail for which u have to sign for..... like if its oath ceremony notice or something....is it true..? can anyone tell me about that...because the posts i have read never mentioned about that....
I work monday to saturday...and i dont see my mail main at all.. i get to pick my mail from mail box 8:30 pm everyday. so now there is this one more problem in my mind that maybe i have missed my letter for oath ceremony since its been more than 7 months waiting for oath letter.
can someone plz advise me on this issue.

Oath letter will be just placed in the
mailbox. I don't know if there has been
any change lately.
Even if signature is required, a note will
be placed by USPS so you can
go and pickup later.

N400 oath ceremony date arrived
Hi Everyone
Today, we received oath notice letter by US post service. The oath date is the 26th Feb. ,2004.
If someone, your friends, or relatives recently apply EAD (employment authorization Document) with I-485 adjust status in San Diego , please post how many days it took to get EAD right now in San Diego.
