They will want to verify that he really is a citizen. I don't know what
they will ask him, but most likely it will be about why he claims US
citizenship. Most likely, it would be because he inherited his
citizenship from his parents, so he should know where they were born. If
the parents also inherited citizenship, he should know where the
grandparents were born or got their US citizenship.
The other possibility, of course, is that the parents got naturalized.
He should know about that, too.

N-600 is for cases where the person already is a US citizen, and the
government merely verifying that fact. Since this is not a discretionary
decision, it can't be denied for anything like a criminal history. So I
don't think there is any fingerprinting involved.

No, he is not. When you naturalized, he automatically became a US
citizen. The N-600 is merely an application for *evidence* of that fact.
Even without the N-600, he would still be a citizen, it would just
difficult to prove it for, say, getting a passport.

Correct. Because his citizenship is automatic rather than by
application, there is no fingerprinting. He also won't have to take an oath.

I doubt that there is much at all in terms of interview.
