N-400 Tax Transcripts

N-400 Tax Transcripts
I filed my N400 online back in November (based on marriage, 90 days prior to 3 years residence), uploaded all the relevant info at the time, completed Biometrics in December and have the interview scheduled for a couple of days' time.
It only occurred to me the other day that since I filed the N400, another tax year has ticked over, and therefore have not yet included a transcript for 2017 in my application.
'No problem, I'll jump online and download a copy from the IRS', I thought to myself... however, the IRS site is not playing nicely and will not accept my details (yes, they are exactly as I filed on my taxes). I'm now locked out of my IRS account for 24 hours. I don't have faith that I'll be able to access a copy prior to my interview.
I did order a copy by phone, but it's not likely to be here in time.
Am I deep in to the brown stuff if I show up for my interview without a transcript for 2017?

I know it was years ago but I ordered them via their phone line. Have you tried that?

You can carry a copy of your return if you don't have the IRS transcript. On other fora, I've seen people mention being in a similar position and doing this. They just want to know that you filed and paid your dues.

Yes but it's my understanding that he's referring to the PDF copy of his transcript on the IRS site, as opposed to being unable to print anything at all. The alternative I suggested was to simply carry a copy of the papers he filed, e.g. print out the Turbotax emitted version. I've read of people doing that when they could not access the latest transcript. It doesn't guarantee not getting an RFE, but it's probably enough to satisfy anyone, except the really persnickety USCIS interviewers.

Yes, of course he should print out the tax return, if he can. My take on it was that he didn't already have a printed set (so couldn't photocopy it), and couldn't print a set either (from whatever source he used to do the return).
The OP can clarify.

Re: N-400 Tax Transcripts
The N400 instructions seem clear (my emphasis):
D. Tax Returns and Overdue Taxes. Bring photocopies of income tax returns that you filed with the IRS for the past 5 years, or 3 years if filing for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen. Tax returns are not required for every case. However, USCIS strongly encourages you to bring your tax returns; especially if you are filing based on marriage to a U.S. citizen or have traveled outside the United States for a period that lasted 6 months or more. You can request copies of Federal tax documents at your local IRS office or www.irs.gov. You may also bring an original IRS tax transcript listing tax information for the past 5 years (3 years if filing on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen). To obtain a free IRS tax transcript, visit www.irs.gov. Select “Tools” and then select “Order a Return or Account Transcript.” For assistance, you can also call the IRS at 1-800-908-9946.

I'm not about to ask which is more important to you. If you have studied for your test, you really have nothing to worry about. Tomorrow you will access your transcript and print it out. Try a different computer. Some people have said their firewall is what is giving them problems.
