1. If the answer is truly "not applicable" put N/A. If the answer is "none", put "none". Don't leave anything blank.
2. Yes.
3. No.

You are allowed to pay both fees with one check, which I did for my application.

Rete,
I believe the instructions on the latest N-400 form clearly state that
unless the traffic voilation was DUI related, or an arrest was made,
there is no need to send documentation for that.

What is the version date on the form? The one my husband and others here used from 2003 to recently asked for any times you were "cited" and a driving ticket is being cited.

Form N-400 (Rev. 10/26/05)
Note that unless a traffic incident was alcoholor drug related, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine of less than $500 and/or points on your driver'slicense.

As I thought, it is a newer version and they redefined that particular question.

Hi:

Interesting -- so in California any conviction for a "mover" will have to be disclosed.

Yes... I know. The OP asked "should I" and, while you can, I don't believe you should.

queenie,

Be careful with this, many people use 'N/A' when they shouldn't. It
might help if you don't think in terms of 'is the question applicable
to me', rather think 'is the answer applicable to the USCIS'. The
USCIS wants to know something, that's why they've asked the question,
and 'N/A' does not convey a meaningful answer.

Even when 'N/A' is appropriate, there is always a better answer that
will explain why the question is N/A.

Regards, JEff

Thanks for all your input :)

ok i read that one that states from driving violation if its less than
$500 it doesnt need a documents, so should i still send docs?

N/A - for example for question if one is married before your current
spouse, if not should i put N/A on all boxes (ie name of spouse etc.)

I guess thats all for now but im sure i'll find more............thanks.

I would recommend NEVER putting N/A. Always write NONE.

I put N/A on one of our forms where it asked for the name of my previous husband. I don't have one, so I assumed that was "not applicable" to me.

The form was returned and I had to resubmit. The accompanying letter specifically said that N/A wasn't an acceptable answer and to use NONE.

Queenie, you can always use a narrative response.

ie: "I have never been married" (jen's example).
or, "I have not left the US in the past 5 years".
etc
