Default N-400 Citizenship Current Florida Timeline?

Hello
I've been searching for posts to give an indication of current timeline for people filing N-400 in FL.

Can anyone give me an idea how long it's taking at the mo?

Go to www.uscis.gov and look under the district office you are using.

Some friends of ours just became citizens in October, think they filed originally late last year (possibly even early this year).

I posted my N-400 off last week - do I need to start a timeline thingy off now?

I'm led to believe it has sped up a lot now Ray - I got caught in the price increase quagmire so it took longer than it ordinarily should have (11 months for me). As I understand it, its back to anywhere between 4-7 months on average.

Did you use the form that says expires 10/31/08? I am trying to get my act together to start the process and am already confused as that is the only form I can see!

As Ray said, that's the latest official form, I was a bit apprehensive about using it too, but on checking the USCIS site, it does mention the 10/31 form is the most current.

If you always get your forms from uscis.gov/forms you will always have the most up to date forms.
There are two expiration dates; the one in the top corner is for comments & similar in an outside process. The 'edition' number is the one you want, in the bottom corner.

Also see the form download page for details:
Edition Date :
10/15/07, 07/30/07, 11/01/06, 05/31/01 can be used. No other editions accepted.

For information pertaining to expiration dates, please see the "Special Instructions" section below.

Special Instructions :

Expiration Dates:

The current Form N-400 (October 15, 2007 edition labeled "OMB No. 1615-0052) shows an expiration date of October 31, 2008.

Until a new edition of the N-400 is available, applicants should not be concerned that their application will be rejected due to using an expired edition of the form.

Please continue to check this page regularly for updates.
