N-400 Check Cashing Question

Re: N-400 Check Cashing Question
Also you will receive the NOA in the mail with your case number. You can look up the status online at the USCIS when you get the notice. But don't expect to learn anything from the status report. They are rarely updated.
You will receive a few weeks after the NOA the notice to appear for your biometrics and then it is a matter of waiting. Checking the timeline for your local district office is the only way to see how long you have to wait.

After several weeks of waiting. Finally received receipt in the mail. Here's our timeline for N-400 so far.
6-5-2007 Application Received by CSC
6-5-2007 PR Date
7-3-2007 Check Cashed
7-11-2007 Receipt Notice Sent
7-13-2007 Receipt Notice Received
Looks like our receipt notice and check was cashed a little later than anyone else's.
