I filed my N400 with TSC on 7/27. Finally received my NOA on 12/6 stating that I had some evidence missing which I would need to bring to the interview. Also, they are supposed to send me a separate communication specifying the missing info.
I could not photocopy the back of my conditional greencard (since it was taken at the time of my removal of condition interview) and I had not recvd the permanent one. Could this be the missing info?
I submitted everything else from the application checklist and what folks on the board have posted about.
Thank you.

I'd guess you're right about what's missing.
Glad to see that you've received the N0A after so long. You and I submitted N400 one day apart.
Did they specify a number of days before notification of main interview in your letter? Mine said 365 days. There seems to be wide variation in this respect, I've seen numbers between 100 and 730 days, here and on other forums. It must depend on local office, I guess. Mine's OKC.

There are very few documents required for the average naturalization, so if you're confident in your checklist, don't worry too much. It will all shake out.

Thanks. Well you'll speed on ahead of me later then, if those numbers are reliable indications.

They clear the name checks before the interview as otherwise you could drag 'em into court to hurry them up. That's why they now never interview before the checks are completed.

And this week, the TSC has moved forward from processing apps on the 29th of July to........the 30th. Well done lads. Every other service center is dealing with apps from at least October.

Wouldn't you think they could carve the country up between the service centers more fairly? Or at least make sure, somehow, that the disparities are not so wide.
I saw a post elsewhere from someone who applied long after us who has an interview scheduled for January. Yet others (at TSC mainly) who applied at the end of July/ early August still await receipts, and are looking at waits of a year or more for the interview. That's unreasonably out of balance, I reckon.

Yes ... apparently they are going to be fair ... they will downsize NSC, CSC and cut pay, so that TSC can better compete!
Since they did not cashed the check yet ... I don't even know if they lost the application or not. I guess if they lost applications then this process has to start all over again?

Yes. But they haven't cashed your check yet because they haven't gotten to it yet - As I said, this weeks date for cashing is the 30th of July - if you sent it after that, theres not a lot you can do but wait till your date has passed.

If the trend from other Service Center continues in TSC, I think when they move past 7/31 date, it will pick up the pace a little or at least they should do better than 1 day/week rate.

TSC is now 9-29-2007. Starting to move along nicely.
