N-400 application

It's time to submit my N-400 for naturalization and I have a quick question - sorry I don't want any reasons for my application to be returned so I'm trying to be extra careful. Should I submit 2 separate checks, one for filing fee and one for biometrics, or one for both fees?

Thanks

Hello!

Just yesterday we received the NOA for our recently submitted N-400.

I wrote two separate checks, as they line out two separate fees. Both checks were cashed and our application was accepted without a problem.

On the NOA, however, it just says the fee is $400 and that I paid $400. It doesn't say $330 and $70, which is what I wrote the checks for. So, that leads me to believe that it doesn't matter.

... but I know from experience that writing two checks works!

Good luck,

Jen

Thanks to both CA and Jennifer for your replies, I decided to take the two check option so we'll see what happens.
