Compromise: Canada.

Now I am actually scared for her to come thru immigration again when her Immigration Visa is completed.

This has definetly given us a great fear of coming thru Immigration again.

I don't think you should feel afraid of coming back through immigration again.

The way I understand what happpened is that, unbeknowst to you and your wife, her situation raised a lot of red flags [being married to a US citizen, having an immigratnt visa application, traveling with her mother-in-law and a lot of suitcases] and the officers didn't feel certain that she would not immigrate definitively and therefore sent her back as she did not have an immigrant visa. This has happened to quite a few fiancees/spouses on the NG. I am glad it never happened to me and I am sure it was far from pleasant while it happened to her, however, she must have convinced them enough of her good faith because they did not impair your spousal/immigrant visa application and "just" sent her back, or at least it is my understanding.

Next time, if she has the proper visa, the journey through immigration should be much more pleasant: most people on the newsgroup have reported that their POE experience was a breeze... Maybe, you want to be with her to make her feel reassured [maybe have her connect in Canada and fly back with her from Canada so that you enter the US together?]... For example, look up jcapulet. Cory was turned away at the POE in Canada while waiting for the K1, but he made it without problems later with his K1.

Wishing you all the luck!
Caroline

My wife and I are on the last stages of our K3 visa and the final stage of the opriginal I-130 application filed August of 2002. We have a year old daughter .. we married onm July 2002

My mom went to korera to assist my wife and baby on the flight from South Korea. My wife was traveling with her tourists visa.

At customs where they swipe your visa, she, my mom and daughter were pulled aside.and into a room. There while my mom held the baby, customs officials interrogated my wife, made her sign two paper, and my mom heard them ask my wife to decide between deportation and the cancellation of something (I do not know what they we going to cancel).

They then escorted my wife and daughter to a plane that was leaving in ten minutes going to South Korea, and sent my mom thru to finish the last leg of the trip to Charlotte.

My wife and daughter are still on the way back to korea and will land in about six hours but i am about to go crazy wondering what happened.

anotehr bit of info, the customs official told muy mom that it could have been worse, that she went back in the best way possible .... if that makes any sense to anyone.

Any idea if this may cancel our spousal visa ..K3 visa?
I have read on the net about a "refusal of entry paper" How bad is this?

any info would be appreciated for I am about to go crazy

Ouch! I am sorry!!
I got denied entry in 2002 and It was the worst experience of my life.. besides having my wisdom teeth pulled
I wish you nothing but the best!!
