my name not in interview letter- plz help
 

my uncle applied a immigration case in 1996 from california
after a long wait now we got a interview letter
uncle applied my case under f4 categ.
he filled case for my dad
now in interview letter
there are names of my other family members means father, mother, younger brother but
my name is not present there
may be because i am over age i.e. now i am 21 years and 10 months old
but many people told me to attend interview, they said consular may give me a visa with my family
i also think so because uncle pay my visa fees and fill every form
only this last letter comes to us after completion of 21 years of age
before that they consider me with my family but now at end
they does not enter my name to letter
in embassy, receptionist said me to attend interview with my parents because
my name is there in computer but not in letter

i m India and my case is in new delhi embassy

plz help me out i m very worried about my future
plz tell me how much chances is there to get my visa for usa with my parents

hi everyone
my family members have interview in july
i think sunny you should attend interview with you family
because i hear from many people that it depends on consular
to give visa to those applicants who are members of same family
and not have name in interview letter cause of over age factor
my name is there in computer of embassy, receptionist show me my name
when he press print button then my name does not get printed in letter
then he inquire about that and said me to come with parents on interview date
may consular consider with them
otherwise parents can apply a apeal in embassy

i have same problem
we got a letter 2 yrs ago which contained my name.
that letter was just a notification and instructions of documents.
my name was written under travelling applicants with my family.

but after the priority dates became current we got the second letter of visa interview but my name was not in it.
i call them and receptionist told advise me to come with ur family , how ever i wont be allowded to enter for interview and my family will explain the situation to them.

also i emaile them and they replied,

"Dear Mr. Singh:



You became 21 in January 2007. Therefore, you are ineligible for a derivative immigrant visa.



Sincerely,

Information Unit

Consular Section
American Embassy
New Delhi, India"

now can anybody tell me something more abt their reply?

U may want to find out if CSPA (Child Status Protection Act) apply for your visa category. Its for those children who age out but still can get the visa.

i talked to deep876 and he told that they rejected him.
dats really sad.

i am realy worried now.

can anybody give me more suggestions and precautions?
He also told me that they give 115 days as grace for those who are over 21 but less than 21 yrs + 115 days.
but i am 7 months over today.

what are the other alternatives for quick result after they refuse the visa.

First of all you need to find out if it applies to ur visa category. Then you have to calculate ur age by using this formula:

(Ur age when priority date become current) - (Case approval Date - Filing Date or Priority Date) = should be less than 21 years 45 days

So whats ur priority date and approval date??

here are some detials of my case but i dnt know which form's approval date has to fill in formula.

My current age: 21 yrs and 7 months and 1 day

I-140 Filed: May20, 2003
Approved: October 8, 2003

Three I-824 filed for Me, my Mother and my younger brother Filed ON: July 28, 2005
Approved ON: Nov 7, 2005

Ucsis notified Nov 7, 2005 New Delhi consolate about there cases.

Our dates were current near Nov 2005 but again they changed the dates and it became un current.

Now dates became current again in june 2007 and we got interview letter which does not include my name.
We are going for interview on day after tomorrow.
