Hi I am wanting to move to Florida with my wife and 4 children . I don't have a job to go to . I have some savings of £7,000,000 million sterling would I be able to get citizenship ?

Immediately? No. Eventually? Yes. Since you have nothing to recommend you but money, I suggest an EB-5 visa. You'll likely lose about $500,000 (because there is no guarantee of return on your investment... but what the hell, you've got £7 million to play with) but you can buy yourself and your family green cards. Once you've been a green card holder (= US permanent resident) for 5 years, you can apply for US citizenship.

Congratulations - you're one of the few who have a way forward! Your next step: research EB-5 visas.

If I was looking to immigrate to the US (BTW I already did, 14 years ago) Florida wouldn't be in my top 30 states to live in. It might scrape the top 40.

I was thinking the same thing, if I had that amount of money (dammit, I've only got £6M ), Florida wouldn't be on my list at all.

But, different strokes for different folks and all that. My grandparents lived in Florida and loved it. I never understood why, but they split their time between there and the Lake District and loved both equally.
