What do you think is the easiest and most painless way for her to get him LEGALLY
in the US?
She has been in US [other than pregnancy and birth about 5 months] and he is now 4
years old. Of course, he needs SSN to go to school!
Any help would be appreciated! She does not want to get US Citizenship for
herself yet.
Thanks for all ideas!!

the child does not need SSN to go to school, he only needs to show that he has his
immunizations and is residing in the county where the school is located. (IE:
parent's lease agreement, mortgage, mail addressed to parents at same address etc).
my children are canadian and have been living with me here in the US since last
August, and they were not required to have an SSN to start school here last
september. Check with the school's international student's office to get their
requirements.

It's hard to answer this question because of unanswered questions.
When did the mother get PR status (month and year), and using what category (e.g.
spouse of U.S. citizen)? Is the mother presently residing in the U.S.?
Where is the child? If the child is in the U.S., when did he enter the U.S. (month
and year), and in what status?
