Medical ahead of schedule allowed?
I'm going to go for my visa medical examination the day after tomorrow
& i just wanted to be sure that nobody here thinks its a problem if i go "ahead of time", i mean i do have my case # & all & the doctor said it was ok if i came, but i didn't get the official notice from the INS to do so. I just wanted to be sure that there's no "rule or regulation" i'm breaking by doing this. thanks, arage |
Re: Medical ahead of schedule allowed?
Depends on where you live. If in the UK then no you cannot do the medical prior to the interview date. If you are in Canada, yes you can. Be sure to bring your passport and the required amount of photographs to the examination with you.

What about applicants in the United States? INS was/is not clear as to the
timeline regarding when to take the medical. We got the fingerprinting letter, but nothing else yet. "Rete" wrote in message news:429520.1033394720@britishexpats- .com... > Depends on where you live. Re: Medical ahead of schedule allowed?
It seems that different field offices have different rules with regareds to taking the medical. On the official site, it says that you should wait for them to contact, but at Seattle, where I'm applying, they expect the medical to be sent when you first submit your paperwork, i.e. your I-485.
I wouldn't expect there to be a problem by taking it in advance, you'll be ready to send it off as soon as they request it. ;) |
