Default master hearing=master calender hearing?

Hi,

A family friend just got a notice to appear for something called a "Master Hearin" at
the immigration court. Is this the same as a Master Calender Hearing?

He entered the USA about 8 months ago requesting asylum in Texas and
had the case transferred to Connecticut. They gave us this date for a
"Master Hearing". is this the same thing as a Master Calender Hearing?

Thanks, Madeline
