Default lost passport , need help ??

My wife and me were in downtown Vancouver when somebody broke our car
and stole away my wife's purse containing our Indian Passports ,
Landed immigrant Papers and US h1 and H4 Visa stamped on them
respectively . My wife also lost her PR card .

We filed a Police complaint with Vancouver Police and came back to US
on "Single entry Waiver of Passport and Visa" . How do we go about now
to get our Indian, canadian immigrant status and US visas Back .

We are in washington State . Is it okie to go to San Francisco Indian
consulate to apply for our replacement passports . Luckily we have
photocopies for all these documents .

Please advise what we should do .

Thanks for you help in this time of need

Indian Passport: Contact the Indian Consulate in the US that has
jurisdiction over the place of your residence.

Canadian Visa/PR Card: Contact the nearest Canadian embassy in the US
to get a travel document to go to Canada. For replacement PR Card,
you'll have to apply to the corresponding agency in Canada. See
http://www.cic.gc.ca for details.

US Visa: You'll have to get one from any of the US consulates abroad.
There is no way you can get the H-1B/H-4 replaced within the US unless
your last visa was issued from the State Department within the last 12
months.

I have one question though....how did you get one time waiver visa? US
Immigration is so strict these days...I am wondering how did they let
you back in?

P.S. I am not a lawyer and this is not a legal advice.

Thanks Smart ! That was a lot of help . We are going to apply for our
passports at San Francisco Consulate by the end of this week.

We are then going to apply for our travel document in seattle canadian
consulate .

For US visa , once all these things are done , we will schedule an
appointment in US consulate in vancouver .

Yes ! we have been very lucky that we got this waiver document issued.
We did not have any ID or our passports . I think it is a miracle that
they let us in with the form I-193 .

We must have done something good in our lives that we got a chance to
enter again and resume my job and a chance to put all these documents
in place.

Thanks for your advise in this time of need .
