Default Landing after with L1 husband

Hi,

I have done a search for this, but I couldn't see anything.

My husband is in the process of finalising the package for relocating to the US office.
He is hoping he can go on the L1A ( he is not a people manager but manages an integral part of the systems internally and externally) it will be down to the attorney if he thinks there is enough back up to meet the requirements. He definitely qualifies for the L1B though specialist knowledge.

My question is if he was to go ahead with our son, can I land at a different date to them or would all have to land at the same time?

My concern is trying to settle our son into school at the start of term rather than halfway through it, but I have to give notice to my company and our rental. We will not give notice this until the visas are approved. But if he can take my son, I can stay and work notice period.

Many Thanks
Claire

Yes you can arrive in the US after your husband. I mean, you could even get the L2 visa at a different time, if for some reason you were unable to do it at the same time.

You're moving to the US... is this really a concern?

Lol, when I knew we were moving I quit the job I hated immediately and went contracting for a few months. But you have to work your notice they said 😂. Sue me I replied, bye!

It's more of the notice period on our property. But there is nothing stopping us just paying up to this date, and leaving earlier.

I would like to leave company on good terms, as they also have an office in Naples. So not wanting to burn bridges :-)
