Default L2s authorized to work?

Hello
I am a L1 holder. Last week I entered the US with my wife. My wife's I94 notes her status as "L2S".

The status does not mention that she is the spouse of a L1 holder.

My question is - does my wife require an EAD to work?

Thank you

Your post appears to be self-contradictory and I find it confusing. Does her I-94 document indicate L2S or not?

Why not look at USCIS or the I9 form instead of a random Internet forum?

General comment: an I-94 does indicate the status of admission and often serves as employment authorization document incident to status. “L2S” does show L2S status.

A simple Google search came up with your answer in seconds:

The new admission code follows a November 2021 USCIS policy change recognizing L dependent spouses are
automatically work-authorized due to their status—without the need for an employment authorization document (EAD).Mar 28, 2022
