Posted L1A application on October 7th 2010 under premium processing and got approval on October 20th 2010.
My lawyer will now start working on EB1C I-140 application which is expected to be sent by mid of november. I will keep you informed about the updates. I am planning to self file i485 as a parallel processing because lawyers are charging too much. Any suggestion or advise?

I filed my EB1C I-140 on 10th November 2010 and I-485 on 06th January 2011 at Texas Service Center. I had biometric appointment on 21st March 2011. I am still waiting for the decision. It looks like that all I-140 cases from TSC are slowed down significantly. You can also check my case detail from Trackitt website with an id 'asimali24'. At this point I am desperately waiting for my approval.

By the way do you have to prove your scenario why you travelled on L1b and not on L1a? if so can you please drop me a mail with details on <snip> ?

If you get L1A or L1B then on the I-94 it is only written L1 visa. I informed the custom officer while travelling that my status has been changed to L1A and he let me in without any questions asked.

Actually my question was from petition filing perspective. You must have to prove 1 year managerial exp prior coming to US. And I believe you first entered on L1b petition and not L1A. So you proved your managerial role outside US on L1b petition?
