L1A Visa Criminal record
Hi I am 52 years old and have conviction for theft when I was 18, (34 years ago) I received fine and a 12 month suspended sentence. My company want to transfer me on an L1A visa which I believe I/ we qualify for in every other way, will this conviction prevent me from gaining an L1A and possibly a green card in the future? many thanks in advance.

Re: L1A Visa Criminal record
I am a retired immigration lawyer. From the information provided, the “call” or your question cannot be answered without examination of your record.
I can tell you that it is a good idea to consult with an attorney knowledgeable in US immigration law. You may be just fine or problems can be fixed.
Good luck.
