L1-b Visa
Hi all,
My employer (large multinational with NASDAQ parent company) is currently working on preparing an l1-b visa submission for me. The immigration attorney working on this has requested several documents including university transcripts, and I have a couple of quick questions:
1. Will they only accept full transcripts, broken down by class/module grade, or might they accept my overall degree certificates?
2. There’s a fail on my MSc transcript for one module (wishing I’d taken the option to resubmit!) - is a class fail likely to impact my overall success in getting this visa? I have 3-4 years’ worth of working experience in a niche/specialised role so hoping that might have a heavier weighting than a failed class. Note that my overall MSc result/classification is good.
If a full transcript is required I certainly won’t lie, but kind of hoping that submitting the general certificates with overall results might do, so I needn’t acknowledge the fail.
Any advice would be very welcome!

Re: L1-b Visa
You don't actually need a degree for an L1-B, so having a failed module is absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Given that, your other question should be directed to the attorney - if they asked for a transcript, I assume they want exactly that, but a degree it isn't "necessary", and they could do without, so the answer really is a matter of the attorney's opinion. I presume that having a transcript would make their job easier.

Re: L1-b Visa
When I did my L1-B, the lawyers paid for my degree to be "translated" into a standardised version that basically said this 3 year BSc is the same as a 4 year B.S. in the US as UK University are compariable etc etc. I don't think it was even looked at along with the 100+ other pages I took to the consulate. Good luck with your visa process!
