Default L1-B Visa

Hi All -

Just a question on L1-B Visa requirements - Do you need a degree to apply for one these if your company wants to transfer you from the UK to the US?

I have been working for the company for 5 years and need to transfer to the US but wondered if a degree was a requirement and also what documentation is needed to get the visa approved?

Many thanks

Rich

Perhaps you should consult with your employers immigration attorneys that are presumably advising them?

In answer to your question, no, a degree is not a requirement.

A degree is not required. You will need to extensively prove your specialist knowledge / skills though.

We came over on an L1B with my Husbands degree (but that was a 3rd that he bearly scrapped by with).

But is was the specialist knowledge and the fact that he was of only a handfull of people in his company that could do the role that clinched it.
He also had a very good company lawyer....always essential as already mentioned

Good luck on your possible adventure.

Thanks guys! I had a feeling that was the case so just wanted to check. What documentation do you need to take to the interview/present for the visa application then if education is not a requirement?

Your company lawyer will prepare all the documentation and submit with the application and they will advise if you actually have to present at the interview.
