J1 & HRR , would it apply to me??

J1 & HRR , would it apply to me??
I have heard about a HRR period which follow J1 visas, but I am not sure if it would apply to mine? I was planning on going to the US this summer on a 4 month J1 Visa. (4 month work 1 month holiday)
What are the implications for me if I do decided to go with regard to
* Marrying a US citizen & staying on
* Applying for another type of visa to go back another time and work in the US
* Getting a Green Card via the lottery (could I use it?)
......would I have to wait until the HRR time is up before taking any of these other courses of action. Would I have any HRR time to 'serve' at all anyway???

OK, so I've looked this up on past postings on the site and have found out that I am not subject to the HRR with the J1 visa that I have.
