Arrow internship without ead?

I may have an oppourtunity to do a 3 month internship, I am already in USA. They normally do not pay the interns. The only ones that get paid are if they qualify for work study, and most do not. I won't either because I'm not a us citizen. Is this okay to do. I will be helping out lab instructors at an animation school (same place I went). After the 3 month intership they may hire me as part time, and then eventually full time. i know then I will need h1 or maybe I could do j1 since it is a school. Will it be okay for me to do the internship? btw, i'm here from canada, i just need a job so I can pay my bills. I don't want to leave. Finding a sponser is really hard. Why do they want to make someone leave who is just trying to contribute to the economy? If i didn't need sponorship I would have a job and a great job too. Can you tell, i'm not bitter at all, lol...thanks all.

Unfortunately, all kind of working requires that you have the appropriate
employment authorization. That is true even if this is is unpaid work (as
long as others would get paid for it). Since you say you need the job to
pay the bills, it doesn't even look like the internship would be unpaid.

That's not to say it's impossible; there may be visas for this kind of job.
Depending on circumstances, a J-1 or an M-1 or an H-3 might be
appropriate.

I don't know of anyone who was ever paid, but i guess if there is a possiblilty than i will need some sort of visa. Also, after the months is when i would start getting paid. So it is an unpaid intership. Thanks, i don't know what h3 is, i'll have to look into it.

All H-type visas are for "guest workers". The H-3 is for guest workers
who come to the US for a training program.
