injections needed for USA visa
Can anyone advise where i can find printable information about the injection we will need for visa approval. From what i understand hep b for my children and mmr for me and my wife!

Just read your other post so I'm assuming you're talking about your E application. I wasn't aware you needed a medical..sorry! If you do, may I suggest you go to the medical and they will soon tell you what you need updating, then you can get the shots you need, forms filled out and then return them.

if you have evidence that you have had all your old kiddie jabs then you may only require the ones your are likely to be missing - like MMR and possibly a tetnus (i needed both - but was able to provide my original vaccination cards from the 60's/70's as evidence of what I had already had).
also dont forget the TB test - which is like a small shot in the forearm.

If you want to avoid having another needle-stick, you can simply tell the MD that you were vaccinated for TB and that s/he should simply do the chest x-ray. Might save a return visit to the MD.

We didn't have to have any vaccinations for our visa (L1A) but the kids had to have hep A and B for school entry (they'd already had chicken pox so didn't have to have that).
For the Green card app though we had to have everything that was recommended right down to flu shots. My 11 year old had to have tetanus, flu, gardisil, menigitis, another MMR, hep A and hep B. She and I were not happy about that - grrrrrr. For the green card if it's recommended it's a requirement.

Funny, but for my greencard application I didn't have to have a flu shot....
As for TB, yes you will probably come up as positive for the Heath test. I did, and was sent to the ER to have a chest xray, which came up clear, as expected.
I believe I also had to have tetnus and Polio but that was it.

Some of the vax are age-specific; not everyone gets everything.

Many of my UK clients get the TB "scratch" test and come up REACTIVE, because I am given to understand that UK school children -- unlike US children -- are usually vaccinated for TB. As a result, this typically results in a REACTIVE result on the scratch test.
If you want to avoid having another needle-stick, you can simply tell the MD that you were vaccinated for TB and that s/he should simply do the chest x-ray. Might save a return visit to the MD.
