I was speaking to an Indian woman who immigrated here recently with her
husband.
Both are GC holders.
Her husband's brother and his wife had obtained a GC recently after waiting for
many
years in India for the GC to be approved.
Now that they are all here in the US, they all live in the same small
household, and the
Indian woman is the only one with a job.
She has to pay for all the living expenses for everyone, including exorbitant
health insurance premiums for the 2 aging Green Card holder in-laws who make
no efforts to find employment to help out.
Her husband left a great job in India, and can't find a job here now.
And her job is on the rocks now (she works for a IT sweatshop to pay the
bills).
Immigrating to the USA is not all that great for many people.
