immigration interview
Can someone please tell me how long after the immigration interview do
you recieve permanet recidence ..is it right away and does this mean
you have a green card?

When you are approved, and you are a Permanent Resident, they are supposed to mail you a Green Card.

I have just been approved, and it took almost 6 months after my interview in Chicago to get that approval, and just over 6 months to physically get my hands on the green card.
As has already been said, everyone's situation is different, and maybe your wait will be shorter.
Yes they send it to you via mail.

i was lucky...i got it that same day (St Louis, MO office)...it all
depends on the officer. But you can always apply for a worker's permit
right away while waiting for the GC ;)
