In terms of switching jobs, once the petition has been pending for 6 months or more,
I understand you need to switch to the same (or very similar) job.

My questions are:

Can one move from a big company with thousands of employees to a very small firm (<20
employees) providing the same services (consulting). Are there any restrictions on
the size of the company one works for using EAD?

Can I leave and work as an independent consultant in the exact same field or will
this invalidate the petition?
