Default I need some help

I have a boyfriend living in Atlanta and he is now separated from his
wife. I am living in Canada. Now since he has moved out, we are able
to see each other, he came to visit me once and me visiting him twice.
We are planning to get married after he has completed his divorce.
Since the divorce will be an uncontested one, so it probably won't
take a lot of time.

I have just visited him and came back to Toronto. Since he is living
by himself, plus he is recently working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week.
He has a problem taking care of himself. Now, he is having some
abdomen pain and is getting really sick.

My concern is I would like to quit my job here in Canada and to stay
with him for as long as I can, so that at least I can take care of him
during this difficult times. BUT, I am not sure if I can do it and
even if I can, it might affect our future when we finally can be
married, that I will have problem staying and working in the U.s. One
last concern is whether I CAN MOVE MY BELONGINGS FROM CANADA TO US,
even when I am not a us citizen. I know sooner or later, we will be
together.

Thanks for your replies.

Timeline for divorce is dictated by the regulations of the state. Here in New York an uncontested divorce takes a year. Don't know what it is in Georgia.

While some might say men are not programmed to take care of themselves, this can be overcome. Every man can learn to shop, cook simple meals, do laundry, etc. As for his stomach pains, sounds like stress, but his best course of action is to visit a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

You are in essence asking us if it is okay for you to migrate to the US without proper documentation. No it is not okay to do so. You can visit the US for up to six months as a Canadian but that is to visit, not to live, work (which taking care of another person is considered as others are paid to do so, i.e. housekeepers, medical caregivers, etc.). You cannot move your belongings to the US from Canada. While you might be able to bring enough clothing for a six month visit, you cannot bring furniture, appliances, etc. without proper immigration documentation.

Thanks for your replies.

Will your coming to the US to live and care for your boyfriend cause a problem in the future for you, that is at the whim of the examiner at the AOS interview. Also you might incur problems at the POE since you have already visited twice and are planning on doing so again so quickly after leaving. They can and would be correct in denying you entrance since you clearly have immigration intent.

On a personal note, while your post makes you sound as if you are a natural caregiver, you have to realize that sometimes you have to allow a person to learn to care for themselves. Men, like women, are more than capable of caring for themselves and derive a great deal of satisfaction from doing for themselves. Allow him the opportunity to test his abilities in this area which apparently unknown to him. Give him advice on how to do for himself and allow him to grow as a person. You are treating him as a child instead of as an adult.

You as a Canadian citizen can only stay in the U.S. for a maximum of 6
months as a visitor.

If you even attempt to start moving your personal belongings or
furniture to the U.S., you will be seen as having immigrant intent and
will be denied entry into the U.S. Big no no.
