Default I-90 questions

I am helping my wife complete an I-90 for the E-filing, but I am not sure
about a few things:

The green card she received has 3 spelling errors on it.

I don't know if she is considered a perm resident (commuter or not???) or
cond resident) She came here on a K-3 issued on 01-17-03 and we flew here on
19th. We had the interview months ago and are filing for these mistakes (Yes
I know we procrastinated) They ask "city of residence where you applied
for an immigration visa or AOS. Is this the city she was living in when we
filed for the visa, where she is living now, or the city where her interview
was (embassy where information was filed for (Moscow))?

City/town/village at birth. This was under a different name at the time. It
is now Ekaterinburg but at the time of her birth it was Sverdlovsk. Do we
use the current name for this city or the name for at the time she was bone
(even though it's the same city)?

Date of admission as an immigrant or AOS: Is this the date she arrived in US
or the date of the interview?

Finally,......"If you entered the U.S. with an Immigrant Visa, also complete
the following: She came here with a K-3. I think that is a "non immigrant"
visa so we don't need to do this portion? If so, is the destination our home
city or the general metro area (our city vs."MPLS")

Is it me or are these questions not stated (asked) real definitively?
Probably me :O/

Knowing whether she is conditional or not is easy. Is her current card for 2 years or 10 (i.e. were you married for more than 2 years at the time she adjusted status)? If the former then she is conditional. As far as being a commuter, does she work in Canada or Mexico?

As for city of birth, you can put the former name or current name - it doesn't matter.

Date of admission is the day she entered the POE into the U.S.

Default Re: I-90 questions

Your post is ambiguous. Why are you filing an I-90? Did your wife have the AOS interview? If so then you are referring to the fact that she received a green card and that there are errors on the green card? If that is correct, why are you completing an I-90 and paying for a new card? The usual course of action is to go to the district office with card in hand and advise them of the errors. They in turn will either have her complete a new I-89 for the making of a new green card or will just request that the service center make a new one up. If the errors are their mistake it should not cost your wife anything.

Note that most district offices are now accepting Infopass appointments instead of walk-ins. So check on the USCIS website if your office is one of them before going there.
