Default I-864 Question

When NVC asks for the fee for the I-864, if you are using a joint sponsor, do you pay one fee, or two fees?

Thanks,
Rene

We used a joint sponsor for our 1-864 and just paid the one initial fee ($70/I-130 Visa). We have our interview date letter (March 15!!!) from NVC stating fee payment had been received. So, I'm going with this and saying... one fee.

Thank you very much.

I second savannah_girl's response. I, too, had a joint sponsor and paid only 1 fee, since it's only 1 form

Well, technically there are 2 forms. There are two I-864's being sent, one from the sponsor (who doesn't qualify financially) and one from the joint sponsor (who does qualify financially).

But good to know it's only one fee payment.

Thanks,
Rene
