Default I-551 will expire 4/26/07

I had my interview 4/27/06 and got my stamp I-551 but still waiting for my card in the mail.

Now I read that it is possible to file I-90 online and ask for the card again if not received.

at the same time I start thinking when to file I-751. I-551 valid until 4/26/07.

What do I need to do?

Do I need the card? Had no problems without the card so far.

Thinking as well as we got married on June 4th, 2005 is it very likely that I receive a new card valid for 10 years after filing I-751?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Many thanks,
Toby

If your AOS interview was before your second wedding anniversary, you were awarded conditional PR status. You will have to file I-751 to remove conditions within the 90 days before the end of your 2nd year of having CPR status (for you, 4/26/08). You will have to file the I-751 whether you received the actual plastic GC or not. In the meantime, you can go get another I-551 stamp at your local office if you need one, or you can try filing I-90 to get another card, or both.

After filing the I-751, your new card will be the 10-year one, yes.

Best Wishes,
Rene
