I recently got an I-551 stamp in my passport. I was wondering if this stamp is enough
for traveling from the U.S. to another country and returning or I need some other
documents. I will get the actual card only in about 9 months, I was told. I'd
appreciate advice on this matter.

Pavel.

Depends on the country.

The I-551 stamp is most relevant when you re-enter the US.

The I-551 is the paper equivalent of the greencard. It confers the same rights to you
that the card does.

Yes, the stamp is a temporary "substitution" to the plastic card. As you said it is a
I-551 stamp!
