Hi all,
Quick recap from my last post...my fiancé and I are planning to get married as soon as I arrive in the States in April so I've decided to start filling out the next stack of paperwork for the AOS.
I'm now in the process of filling out the I-131 and I have a query regarding the Advance Parole section - Part 7.
I need to explain on a separate sheet of paper how I qualify for an advance parole document and what the circumstances are. I'm not sure what to write!![Unsure](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/unsure.gif)
Is there a formal way this needs to be written?
Do I need to include exact dates?
Do I need to provide any evidence?
I'd like to return home for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary party in August and then return home for Christmas, but I don't have any evidence of those events. Or can the AP only be used for emergencies and business reasons?
My other query concerns the attachments for the AP. According to the instructions on page 4, I have to submit a copy of a USCIS receipt as evidence that I applied for the adjustment application. Question is, how can I attach the receipt when I'm sending the I-131 with the rest of the AOS forms?
I would really appreciate any thoughts on this...
Many thanks

Thank you for the speedy reply Rene! Yes, I will be coming over to the States on a K1 visa. ![Big Grin](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I'll keep the statement short and simple and enclose a signed copy of the I-485 as you suggested.
Is there anything else I need to consider?
