Default I-131 Question

Hi Guys,
On the I-131 part 3, it asks for date of intended departure & expected length of trip, However I'm not expecting to travel, I'm just applying for it in case of the need of emergency travel & thus I have no date/expected length of trip.
I was thinking for filling these fields with CURRENTLY UNKNOWN, then explaining on the supplement sheet the reason, but I just wanted to get the opinion of the board as to whether this would be acceptable and/or for any ideas.

Warmest Regards,
James

Yes, that's acceptable.

"Unknown" is acceptable - you don't need to explain why. As an aside, many people seem to confuse the words "emergent" and "emergency" as though they meant the same thing!

I put in a date on my form and there was no problem. However I did not recieve the card before that date. The date was a couple of months in the future.
