i-130 forms for parents status

i-130 forms for parents status
Hi all,
My sister has mailed out the completed i-130 forms out for our parents. She added a cheque for the payment and the money has been cashed however she hasnt heard anything back from USCIS. No return letter confirming the forms have been received and processing, no number etc. We are not going through a lawyer as this seemed quite straight forward. Does anyone know how to get the latest on this and what the process looks like?

If she mailed an actual check she can ask the bank for a copy of the cancelled check because it will have the receipt number on it.
But first I would give it a few weeks to receive the receipt notice by mail.
