My brother would like to sponsor myself and my husband for US immigration. How long
does it take roughly before we can enter the country to live and work?

Your brother must be a U.S. citizen, not only a permanent resident to sponsor you.
The time depends on where you are from. Most countries, 12 years. If you are from the
Philippines, it will probably take 22 years. The U.S. State department issues a Visa
bulletin, which you can see on their Web site.

A very long and unreasonable time. Most times its not worth it.
