How long does the security check take
Submit the N400 last December, and got interviewed yesterday.
Everthing went smoothly. But the officer said that he could not
schedule the oath date for me because they have not recieved my
security check report from FBI yet. Does anyone has the same
experience as mine? How long the security check takes?

are waiting for some additional security check to complete.
I have yet to hear anything back from FBI on namecheck
status.

between a few weeks to one year.
I spoke with an FBI officer while back and she told me
they cannot keep up and don't have enough people.
If you don't have a muslim name, you should be ok.
It seems the delays are general but muslims
suffer more delays. Hang in there.

What kind additional security check is this? Is this an additional
check triggered by the interview? or just a regular security check for
everyone who files N400 but not finished yet? I am kind of confused.

It is for everyone and is not triggered by the interview.
In some centers they initiate it (and or complete it beofre the interview) while in other centers they initiate it after the interview.
There is nothing one can do and everyone has to go thru.
