How long for a decision on an H-1B

Re: How long for a decision on an H-1B
Thanks John
This clears things up for me. We have submitted our RFE and the Attorney received those documents yesterday (7th July) and he has confirmed he will be submitting them asap. So it's now a waiting game - again!!!! This whole procedure is so confusing and even by logging on to the USCIS website, sometimes the more info you get, the more confusing it becomes. Thanks for your information, it's very much appreciated.

Here is a bit from President Obama's recent news conference on immigration reform dated June 25, 2009:
"In the next 90 days, USCIS will launch a vastly improved Web site that will, for the first time ever, allow applicants to get updates on their status of their applications via e-mail and text message and online."

It's an interesting quote because it leads me to believe that the White House does not know that the online case status link currently exists. Now it certainly would be nice to get the online updates more often. It certainly seems as if USCIS hardly bothers with the online case status service. We'll see what they come up with.

It's worth noting that if you are using the 'check your status online' tool on USCIS, it is not necessarily up-to-date on your status. A few people on here have said they had received their approval or whatnot long ago only to still have an out-dated status on the USCIS website! So don't stress too much if you keep checking it and the status doesn't change.

There has been a lot of speculation about what this means. More money down the infrastructure tube is my guess.
