How to cancel visa

Aloha,
I just returned from Thailand and the relationship has ended. How do I go about
terminating the visa application? Will this affect me later if I try to file again
with a different person? I'm going to send a written notice, but not sure how long it
will take before they read it.

I can't answer your question Jay, but I'm really sorry your relationship has ended.

I don't think it will but you will have to state on future petition(s) as I just had
to that you filed one on behalf of your former fiancee/spouse...I do not think they
can hold it against you...I would try to get some sort of certified letter to them
...possibly through your lawyer...

I take it this was for a K-1. Just write (send certified w/ return receipt) the INS
service center where you filed your petition and tell them you are withdrawing your
petition. You will have to answer the question "have you ever filed for K-1 for
anyone..."
I don't think it will affect a future petition as long as you meet all the
requirements. But you may want to take a bit more time and make sure you are
ready for this.

Really quite simple. Send a letter to the US Consulate in Thailand and include a copy
of the NOA if you have it already with a cc to the INS Service Center you used,
stating that you wish to withdraw your petition for the Fiancee Visa for Ms.
