Re: Hoffage’s N400 thread
Well I'm in California, but not within the region of one of the heavily clogged field offices like SF or LA. Some field offices are also more predictable, whereas some have applicants who get through in 3 months while others take a year+.
I turned off the USCIS nothing-to-see-here emails in myaccount . After about 2 of them, they get annoying.

We filed in February had biometrics in March, still showing waiting time of 6 months (December), we are in Orange County. When we first filed I started studying all the questions - now I haven't even looked at them in over a month.

It is strange how adjacent USCIS districts can vary in processing time so much. BTW our estimated processing time still shows whatever it did before (September-November was it?): it was way off.

I haven't looked at them at all. The plan is to cram when I get the interview notice.

Re: Hoffage’s N400 thread
Processing times of USCIS FOs depend on how many applications they receive, and how good they are with their backlog. The USCIS publishes N400 performance data quarterly, the latest being:
N400 Performance Data 1Q2018
N400 Performance Data
N400 Performance Data 1Q2018

That entirely depends on your interpretation of "general knowledge". What if somebody here took your "advice" and didn't bother, then happened to get 10 of the tougher questions?, only getting 5 or fewer right?

Re: Hoffage’s N400 thread
Update: Had my interview and was approved on the spot! The civics questions were fine (I had prepared) and it took 15 minutes in total (I got there early and had to wait 40 minutes or so). The officer was very friendly and straightforward.
My oath ceremony is scheduled for August 2nd. Can’t wait 😊

Congratulations, Hoffage. Did they tell you when the oath ceremony was to be before you left the office or is it to come in the mail.
Will tell my niece to look for the guy with the big smile and offer you congratulations from me in person.
