Exclamation Help!forgot to hand in i94w departure forms ,fly out again next week, fam hols.

Please can anyone help me.I have just found my families i94w forms which should have been handed in after our last holiday in Florida 2 years ago.We are due to fly next week for another family holiday in Florida using the visa waiver scheme, what will happen to us when we arrive?I can take proof with us that we did leave after the 2 weeks last time but with all the tightening up of security i am frantic with worry. Our children would be devastated if they turned us away. Please can anyone advise us.

Don't worry about it. In 2001 there were 6.5 million people that they couldn't match arrival and departure records on so the chances of them picking on you are pretty remote. Any system that relies on the airlines collecting a piece of paper is bound to be unreliable which is why they are trying to improve things with machine readable passports etc.

Thankyou for your reply,i suppose all we can do is go,take evidence we left on time last time and hope there are no problems. The trouble with me is i will be worrying all the time until we actually get in.Thanks again,Carol.

Also, do have the old I-94Ws handy. They can actually collect them at the
time of arrival. I would not show them (or even mention the issue) unless
they ask you about it. General rule: always answer all questions honestly,
but never volunteer information they didn't ask for.
