I recently went through the same process.

You have to do a DS160 for each person.

The first time you do it, do it for the main visa holder, i.e. the person getting the L1A - the rest of the family are on L2 visas each.

Make sure you select the appropriate status of the DS160 at the start - I didn't until I got right to the end, realised my mistake etc... painful.

SAVE TO YOUR HARD DRIVE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY!!!

Once you successfully submit the DS160 the first time, for the L1A holder, you will be asked if you wish to do a further family DS160 entry - take this option!

You still have to do a separate DS160 for each person, but where appropriate it pulls relevant data across from the main DS160 application - useful!

Good luck!

My interview for my L1A took 90 seconds!

I'm typing this from my hotel room having just arrived last night in to Phoenix on my new L1A visa - Immigration was a breeze!

Cheers

Harry
