HappyHappyJoyJoy-NYC AOS Interview Scheduled

We got home today, ckd the mail & out popped our appt letter for an October interview for hubbies AOS.

Almost 2 years to the day of our filing - and thankfully, it's past our 2 year anniversary!

Am off to organize our evidence and figure out what's what with the medical.

Garden City, here we come!

Glad it is in GC and not Fed Plaza. Mrs. Marshall at FP will not give LPR status to a K-1 beneficiary adjuster no matter is you were married ten years before the interview.

Good luck.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Had actually been quite down this spring and summer - thinking we'd never get called for the interview. At least now we can kindasorta make out a possible light at the end of the tunnel.

Just for the heck of it, I checked our online status this morning and called the 800 mis information line. The online status has not changed a bit and the agent on the 800# told me New York AOS cases being processed now are from Dec 2002. Further proof this whole system is so random and disconnected. Makes no sense. Like Mr Foli always says, people should just ignore the timelines the USCIS gives out.

Best of luck for your interview. I know how exciting it must be to finally have that date set.

Thanks Steffi - I'm sure we'll be fine but I just keep praying and trying to stay positive. Heaven forbid - we could always end up in a new black hole we're the card is promised but takes months if ever to come in the mail, bk ground ck isn't complete or some other crazy unexpected twist!

Does anyone think my husband needs to get a new medical? His 1st and only one was in June of 2003.

I searched the archives here but I didn't really get a clear answer ... do medicals 'expire'?

Thanks.
