H1B renewal, green card interview.

I have threee questions, hope you can help.

My H1B expires April 1st, 2003. Is it true that my employer cannot file
for a renewal until 90 days before the expiration?

What is the current estimate of the time needed to get a renewal?

I have also won the GC lottery and my interview should be in February.
Is there a conflict between renewing the H1B and applying for the GC?

Thanks.

I believe it's actually six months.

Without premium processing, about five months, give or take a few. As long
as the extension is filed on time, your H-1B is considered automatically
extended by 240 days.

I am assuming that you are talking about consular interview?

No problem, except that while the extension is pending, you may have
problems returning to the US (although it is supposed to be possible). Of
course, that would only be a problem if the immigrant visa was denied for
some reason.
