I will be graduating in December 2001, but I will have my job offer in this August.
When should I apply for my H1B? and How should I start the process?

I came to US on a tourist visa about 5 years ago, and changed my status to F-1 after
being in U.S.A for about 3 months. So, I have been in status since I have came here.

I did a one year curriculam internship with this company as allowed under F-1 visa,
and now they have agreed to give me a fulltime job after my graduation in December.

I would like to start my H1B Process as soon as possible, and try to get it as fast
as possible. I have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.

I will appreciate all the help.

E-mail me : [email protected]

thanks for your time and help.

NO SPAMMERS PLEASE.

H1b is a complicated process, you should consult a competent attorney and he/she will
give you the whole detail. If you have additional questions, you can always post
here. I would suggest hiring an attorney and not tackle it yourself.

Why do you want to start H1B as fast as possible? You should have one year of OPT
after graduation. OPT is much more flexible than H1b.

You should ask your employer to apply h1b for you. With premium processing, it
can be obtained within half a month. To be safe, your employer should start
your h1b petition at least one month prior to the expiration of other work
authiration.
