Default H1B , to labor

I will be finishing total 6 yrs of H1B in April 2004.

Company attorney filed LC last week ...

Is it a lost case already as remaining time is less than 1 year?

Not a lost cause. But do prepared that you may have to leave the US in
April and then await completion of the process from outside the USA. You
can get a new H-1B in April 2005 (assuming that you didn't travel to the
USA during that time).
