Hi,

I'm on my H-1B for more than 5 years now. My current company started
procesing my GC in NJ just before my 5th year 3 months ago. This
company is my second sponsor. I believe I still have to wait a long
time for this GC.

Is the 6 year limit still imposed for h1b?

Is it still possible for me to move to another company that will
sponsor me?

Another question, my first company notified me that they just received
my laborcert notification letter. They submitted it 2001 in PA. And
they proceeded on processing my laborcert. What are the chances that I
can get my GC through them? What do I need to do? Is it just a matter
of my x company taking me back? And how much time do I need to wait?

Yes.

you can move to any company that will sponsor you. however, the total H1b work permit is for 6years (for any employers you wish to work with). after it reaches the 6 yrs limit, you have to be out of the country for 1 year, then you can apply the h1b again, then your h1b time clock will reset and you have another 6 years ahead of you.

If the LC is pending for over 1 year or the I-140 is filed when the 6 years on
H1 are reached, the H1 can be extended past the 6 years in 1-year increments.
I am not sure if job changes are allowed in such a case.

Hi

My situation is like this. I work for US company on H1B ffrom 2002 June. Because of their project out side USA I left USA for a year, but I got paid in US dollors and I file my tax also. So what will be my remaining time on h1b? Do I have to count my 1 year which I have spent out of USA??
