H1-b status
Hi,
I am a Canadian. I was here on an H1-b until spring when I was let go by my last
firm. Another firm offered me a job and then applied for and was granted and H1-b
visa for me. The problem is they decided not to go through with the hire. They
never sent me the paperwork so I never was able to enter the country as an H1-b
and do my border interview. The approval for the H1-b came from the INS about
three weeks ago. My question is what is my status now? If another company
decides to make an offer to me, do they have to go through the full H1-b approval
process once again (min 5 weeks) or can they switch over from the H1-b that was
approved for me (5 days)?
Thank you in anvance for your help.
Kind Regards,
Ben
