H1-B security clearance (again)
Hi,
Some short questions:
1) Is ROMANIA on the list of countries that pose a treat to the US,
and do they do special security check on all Romanian citizens
applying for H1-B?
2) Does the security check apply for citizens of countries friendlier
to the US, such as: UK, Canada, France, Germany, etc?
3) Did anyone get their security clearance recently? I applies in the
middle of Dec 2002, and I am still waiting.
4) Is the imminent US-Iraki war affecting the situation in any way? I
wonder if the security check take longer than usual now?

The actual list is actually secret (although there are inofficial lists

If they are dual citizens of a country on the list, yes.

Probably no difference. Apart from the fact that the security checks were
only introduced a few months ago, so they didn't even exist before an
imminent US-Iraqi war.
